Amman, Jordan, Aug 18th, 2024 - Sanadcom the first financial institution signs an agreement to obtain ESG with CRIF Information Technology Solutions (CRIF ITS), a subsidiary of the global CRIF group. The agreement allows Sanadcom to utilize the Synesgy digital platform, which assesses companies and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as suppliers, based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. The core methodology for the assessment is based on the international sustainability standards set by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

This agreement will support Sanadcom for business finance efforts to achieve sustainable finance, support credit policies and green financing strategies, risk management, and financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Sanadcom took this initiative to be in line with the Central Bank of Jordan green finance strategy and to adopt the policies issued by Jordan Strategy Forum under the title: “Adopting Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Standards - The Best Way to Conduct Business”.

Signing of the agreement took place at the headquarters of Sanadcom for business finance by Mrs. Rana Hamdan, Sanadcom’s CEO, and Ms. Areej Obaidat, the General Manager of CRIF ITS.

Mr. Rana Hamdan said, “we always strive to be the amongst first financial institutions by applying the latest practices in finance and to offering what is new and beneficial for our clients and the national economy." Eng. Obaidat commented: "CRIF ITS is continuing its efforts to support the MFI sector in Jordan in adopting ESG standards. This is aimed at enhancing credit policies and green financing strategies. We are delighted that Sanadcom has joined the network of banks and institutions utilizing Synesgy platform."
